The company I work for just got the HD Sit-Stand for my 27" iMac and I can verify that it does work with the computer. When I initially attached the iMac to the stand, the result was similar to the previous reviewer; however, once I adjusted the stand I was able to completely articulate the computer. The only issue I really had was mounting the VERSA bracket to the computer (you really have to tighten the alignment screw - almost to the point of stripping it).

The Ergotron sit/stand workstation is a high quality, well constructed unit. I bought the unit to fit with a new Samsung s27a850 professional grade monitor. I bought the HD version to accommodate the larger monitor. The issue is the HD unit requires a 16 pound monitor and the Samsung is around 14.5 pounds...therefore I had to set all of the tension settings to the lightest setting and the unit still tends to bounce a little.

The packaging is superb, I really appreciate the different small parts being in labeled and separate bags. Based on other reviews, I studied the directions carefully before assembly, and found a few items confusing. Without accompanying text, how can you communicate that a step has a few separate options? Assembly took me about an hour, but a second unit would take about 15 minutes.

TIP: The most confusing step was step number 5 with a 360 degree an arrow and a zero degree symbol associated with the monitor mount bracket. That item is an optional set screw to allow or limit rotation of the monitor from landscape or portrait. At first I thought I'd leave the option, but a wide screen monitor like mine is too big to rotate. I would suggest installing the screw in optional step 5. Also in item 5 I didn't realize that there was an option to use Philips head screws or thumb screws for the VESA mount.

Before you get the unit, make sure your cables for the monitor power, signal, and keyboard mouse cables are long enough to accommodate the motion.

The cable management is only fair, but I think some other reviews have better tips about that. I am in the market for a series of monitor arms and other ergonomic accessories and quality and function are more important than cost to me. I will be buying Ergotron again.

Ordered it for work. The keyboard tray does not swing out so the monitor was too close for comfort. The other thing was although the glide up and down worked OK, I still needed to use a string the tie the glider down to my lower level when I sat. I had a co-worker try it too. He didn't like it for different reasons. Oh well. I'll have to find something else.
