I purchased this machine for my husband for Christmas and he loves it. The heating time is acceptable and the popping time is good. The only reason I gave it a 4 star is because the bucket is a little close to the top and that makes it a little difficult to pour in the popcorn. I have always popped popcorn in a bigger machine so I was used to a lot more space. Overall for the money it is an excellent machine.

Just got this popper for my birthday and I am really enjoying it so far! The 'look' is just a really great addition to my living room. This has got to be the perfect item for a family that enjoys their 'movie night', really makes it more of an experience to enjoy and look forward to.

The whole unit feels very solid to me and I really like its made from stainless steel where the other brands I saw listed only state 'metal', it is heavy but not back injury heavy. The unit itself is a little smaller than I had thought but makes and holds lots of popcorn.

One issue I found, the kettle itself is kind of hard to pour the popcorn, oil, etc into....got a feeling there's some way to make it easier I just havent discovered yet. The popcorn comes out real nice though, has a nice firm snappiness to it rather than the 'tough' kind I get off stovetop and more of a fresh feel and taste compared to microwave.

I noticed one reviewer stated if you dont buy the cart with it you cant get it which just about broke my heart; so I contacted the manufacturer (not the seller) and they provided me a link where you can buy the carts for their poppers! Amazon does not sell them but you can obtain it at [...]

Clean up was real easy which I like alot, just wiped everything down and to clean the kettle you just boil water in it for a couple minutes.

IMPORTANT*** One thing very important to know, the edges of the metal 'rails' the kernal catcher slides in are KNIFE sharp! You have to be very careful when cleaning around them, I have sliced my hand open twice so far...should be ok as long as you dont forget how sharp they are.

Also, a reviewer mentioned he had trouble getting burnt spots out of the popper when he left it running too long, I did this and found a fantastic solution. Buy a can of that Barkeep's friend, I used that with one of those scouring pads made for ceramic top stoves and even with really bad burns in the popper it came out like new with not much effort at all.
